At least that’s the general idea behind the concept envisioned by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which left many fascinated. The Line, the city, stretching 170km (105 miles) long, is being built in Tabuk province north of the red sea, east of Egypt, and south of Jordan.
The lengthy city, enclosed within mirrored walls, will only be 200 meters wide and run on renewable energy.

The city will have no roads or cars, and a short walk would ensure that the residents can run their errands. There is, however, a high-speed rail that can be used for a longer commute.
The ultra-modern $500 billion city is a pet project of Mohammed Bin Salman, Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, and other regions Trojena and Oxagon that form the ‘Neom’ are industry related and equally futuristic.
