Telangana Minister for Information Technology, K. Taraka Rama Rao, revealed on Tuesday that he tested positive for the coronavirus.
This is the second time the Minister has contracted the virus. He tested positive last year in April 2021, days after his father, Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, was infected.
KTR, the working president of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi, also holds the portfolios of Industry and Commerce, Municipal Administration, and Urban Development.
The Minister tweeted that he is isolating himself and asked those who met him recently to get tested.
There are 65732 active coronavirus cases in India as of August 30, 2022, with Telangana accounting for 1924.
