Telangana CM Revanth Reddy secures over Rs 31,500 Cr investment during US tour

Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy has concluded his first official visit to the United States, securing over Rs 31,500 crore in investment deals that are expected to create more than 30,750 jobs in the state.

The delegation, led by Chief Minister Reddy and comprising IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu, engaged in over 50 business meetings and three roundtable conferences in New York, Washington DC, Dallas, and California.

The delegation also met with CEOs, founders, business alliances, and groups, inviting them to consider Hyderabad and Telangana in their expansion plans.

What deals were secured?

During the visit, the delegation secured 19 investment deals and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) totaling Rs 31,500 crore, which will significantly boost various sectors in Telangana, including IT, GCC, Lifesciences, Pharma, Data Centers, AI, Cloud, and Data Centers.

The trip received massive support for various major initiatives, including creating a Future City, AI City, rejuvenating the Musi River, and positioning Telangana as a viable alternative to China for American corporations seeking to diversify their supply chains.

Notable investments secured during the trip include Amazon’s decision to make significant expansions in their data center presence in Hyderabad, using the city as a hub to drive their India operations. Additionally, the delegation signed an MoU with Corning on skilling and flow chemistry, reinforcing the company’s commitment to grow in Telangana and enhancing the city’s R&D capabilities.

The delegation also received significant expansion announcements from global IT major Cognizant and Arcesium, further solidifying Hyderabad’s edge in the IT and GCC space.

A new GCC by Zoetis Inc., a leader in the animal health sector, and significant expansions by HCA and Thermofisher are set to further boost the life sciences ecosystem in the state.

Chief Minister Reddy expressed his satisfaction with the trip’s outcomes and said, “From our plans in AI to building the Future City, corporations, startups…. business leaders, tech and business associations, and influencers have agreed to take our breathtaking vision to more people.”

The delegation left for South Korea, continuing their efforts to attract investments and partnerships for Telangana.
