New stills were released on October 10 to mark the Birthday of the film’s director S.S. Rajamouli.
The multilingual, starstudded ‘RRR’ starring Jr. NTR, Ram Charan Teja, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn will be released on January 7, 2022.
The announcement came in the form of a poster with a release date imprinted on it.
Earlier, the movie was expected to be released on October 13, 2021.

Updates from July 31
The much-awaited movie of 2021, the multilingual ‘RRR,’ where the title is interpreted as ‘Roudram, Ranam, and Rudhiram in Telugu,’ ‘Roudra, Rana, Rudhira in Kannada,’ ‘Raththam, Ranam, Rowthiram in Tamil,’ and ‘Rise, Roar, Revolt’ in Hindi, is gearing up for an October release.
The film is currently scheduled to be released on October the 13th, unless there is an issue with coronavirus yet again. The movie comes from S.S.Rajamouli after his Box Office breaking Baahubali movies.
Jr. NTR, who is playing the legendary Komaram Bheem, the Telangana fighter who fought the Nizams and Asaf Jahi Dynasties to liberate Hyderabad.
‘Jal, Jungle and Jameen’ roared Komaram Bheem back then, and Jr. NTR, an acclaimed actor, had worked hard to portray the late Telangana Fighter’s character impeccably. If his previous movies with S.S.Rajamouli such as ‘Simhadri’ are any indication, he is likely to meet the high expectations.
Meanwhile, Ram Charan Teja, who played many action roles in the past with ease, including the record-breaking ‘Magadheera,’ had researched the late Alluri Sitarama Raju’s life and dedicated himself to portraying the freedom fighter with all due dignity.
Alluri Sitarama Raju waged a Guerrilla Warfare against the occupying Colonial British, with the help of his trusted followers from the tribal regions, and is a legendary figure.
As to bringing these two great fighters together now in a fictitious setup, the moviegoers are eager to see the genius of S.S.Rajamouli at work.
Bollywood Actress Alia Bhatt, who was known mostly for her fun and glamorous roles in Hindi Films, had lately branched out into serious acting and that will no doubt come in handy for this mega project.
Her Character Sita, the love interest of Alluri Sita Rama Raju, is fraught with emotions after all. If the movie even remotely touches Superstar Krishna’s erstwhile blockbuster hit ‘Alluri Sitarama Raju’ narrative, the disappointment that lies ahead for Alia Bhatt’s Sita would be heart-wrenching.
But S.S.Rajamouli is known to spring surprises and taking reasonable creative risks. It has to be seen how this romantic plot plays out in the movie.
Bollywood Star Ajay Devgn, known for several Bollywood action flicks, reportedly plays a key role in the film and is said to be playing a mentor to either one or both of the Heroes. Putting Ajay Devgn in an action sequence is pretty much assumed, given the actor’s impressive Action Resume and some of the other stills from the movie shoot.
