Congress Party’s Telangana Chief, Revanth Reddy, has been appointed the Legislative Party leader and will be sworn in as the Chief Minister on December 7, 2023.
Congress, which won 64 of the 119 seats in the recently held election, held meetings with the newly elected candidates and senior leaders before making the announcement.
Revanth Reddy, a member of parliament from Malkajgiri constituency, will resign on Wednesday to take over the role of the Chief Minister. He is in Delhi to thank the party leadership and invite them to his swearing-in ceremony.
The 54-year-old Revanth Reddy had previously been a Telugu Desam Party MLA, winning from Kodangal in 2009 and 2014. He joined the Congress party in 2017.
