The former President of the Congress Party will witness Mallikarjun Kharge taking charge as the new President on October 26, relieving Sonia Gandhi of the duty.

‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ – The Timeline

Starting September 7, 2022, Rahul Gandhi has walked for four days in Tamil Nadu, 18 days in Kerala (a state where he represents Wayanad in Lok Sabha), 21 days in Karnataka, and four days in Andhra Pradesh.

Rahul entered Andhra Pradesh and reentered Karnataka between October 17 and October 21. So his entry to Telangana on Sunday was via Karnataka, not Andhra Pradesh.

After his return from Delhi, Rahul Gandhi will resume his walk in Telangana on October 27 and continue until November 7 before entering Maharashtra.

The motive of the Padayatra

According to Congress Party, ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ has a stated objective of uniting the country against hate and bigotry while highlighting the issues of unemployment and inequality.

Congress party leaders hope that Rahul Gandhi’s walkathon will give a much-needed boost to the party ahead of the general elections and are sharing images and videos of huge crowds joining the Yatra at specific locations.
