Congress leader Rahul Gandhi disclosed his financial status, revealing a net worth of over Rs 20 crore. The details were made public as part of his nomination filing from Kerala’s Wayanad constituency, where he seeks re-election.
What are Rahul Gandhi’s assets?
According to the affidavit submitted by Mr. Rahul Gandhi, his movable assets are valued at Rs 9.24 crore, including investments in stock markets and mutual funds amounting to Rs 4.3 crore and Rs 3.81 crore, respectively.
Additionally, he declared Rs 26.25 lakh in a bank account and Rs 55,000 in cash.
Mr. Gandhi’s total income for the financial year 2022-23 was reported as Rs 1,02,78,680 (Rs 1.02 crore).
Gandhi’s immovable assets, which include property in Delhi and Gurugram, are valued at around Rs 11.14 crore, bringing his total assets to approximately Rs 20.4 crore.
The affidavit also revealed that Mr. Rahul Gandhi has liabilities amounting to Rs 49.79 lakh.
In 2014, Mr. Rahul Gandhi reported a net worth of Rs 10 crore.
In the affidavit, Gandhi also disclosed the existence of 18 criminal cases against him, including a disqualification case.
