Noting that India has several languages and unique cultures, PM Modi hailed the country’s unity in diversity and called the nation the ‘Mother of Democracy.’ He said that every Indian is now confident of being empowered.

Inclusive Development

Every village is now open defecation free and electrified; over 99.99 percent of the people have access to cooking gas, and every family has access to banking, he said.

‘India is self-confident and self-reliant now, so we are breaking records,’ said Prime Minister. The country is already producing 40 percent of its electricity without using any fossil fuels, much ahead of the originally set target of 2030, Mr. Modi said. He also touted the achievement of the target of mixing ten percent ethanol in petrol ahead of schedule.

On COVID Pandemic

The COVID vaccination program’s speed in India is known; 90 percent of adults have received both doses, and the cumulative vaccine dosage in the country has crossed 1.96 billion, Prime Minister told the applauding crowd.

When organic farming is the subject of discussions elsewhere, India’s farmers are already implementing it, said Mr. Modi, adding that sustainable farming is becoming a part of life.

A strong and decisive government

The country is confident its money is not siphoned off via corruption and that the tax compliance is on the rise – voluntarily.
