Gensol Engineering, a leading name in solar power engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services, has secured the contract to develop a 275MW Solar PV Project at the Khavda Renewable Energy (RE) Solar Park in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat.

Gensol Engineering will handle the engineering, procurement, and construction of the solar facility, including designing, installing, testing, and commissioning the solar plant with a fixed tilt module mounting structure.

This achievement marks a new high for Gensol as they kick off 2025 with a prestigious order valued at approximately INR 1061.97 crores, including GST. This contract also encompasses three years of operations and maintenance (O&M) services.

Khavda Solar Park – A Beacon of Renewable Energy

The Khavda RE Solar Park, part of the Gujarat Hybrid Renewable Energy Park, is destined to become the world’s largest renewable energy park with a capacity of 30 GW.

Its vast expanse, covering 726 square kilometers, will contribute significantly to the nation’s target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030.

This park will harness both solar and wind energy, utilizing the region’s optimal conditions – Gujarat’s second-best solar radiation after Ladakh, complemented by its high wind speeds.

The solar park, upon completion, is expected to generate clean energy sufficient to power millions of homes, significantly reducing carbon emissions and supporting India’s green energy objectives.
