Hollywood actor Alec Baldwin, seen in movies such as ‘Bettlejuice’ and heard in the animated film ‘Boss Baby,’ has fatally shot his current project’s cinematographer Halyna Hutchins with a ‘prop gun.’
The incident took place on the sets of the movie ‘Rust,’ which was being shot in Bonanza Creek, Sante Fe, New Mexico.
The US media has reported that the actor had fired a ‘prop gun’ (gun using blanks instead of live ammunition), resulting in the death of Ms. Halyna Hutchins and injuries for the film’s director Joel Souza.
The Hilaria and Alec Baldwin Foundation (HABF), run by the actor and his wife, has tweeted the actor’s reaction.
The Santa Fe County’s Magistrate has issued a search warrant, and the local Sheriff’s Office is trying to recover all the evidence it can to try and establish what had exactly transpired.
