Initial reports suggested over 60 people were wounded, with numbers later confirming at least 67 injuries. Among the wounded, 4 were critically injured, and several others were in serious condition.

The attack in Binyamina is being seen as a direct response to these Israeli actions eliminating Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

Rumours circulate about a possible assassination of IDF Chief of Staff

Several posts on social media claimed that the IDF’s Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi, was assassinated in the latest Hezbollah strike. However, the claims were dismissed by Israeli media.

Implications of the attack

The latest strike highlighted Hezbollah’s capabilities to strike deep into the Israeli territory. The use of drones by Hezbollah represents an evolution in their tactics, potentially aiming to bypass traditional defense systems.

Meanwhile, the United States announced the deployment of a THAAD battery to Israel, signaling its continuing support in bolstering Israel’s defense capabilities against missile and drone threats.
