Armed and misinformed cow vigilantes kill a student

Aryan, his friends Harshit and Shanky, and two women were driving a Renault Duster when the vigilantes pursued them.

According to reports, the armed vigilantes, misinformed about cattle smugglers operating in the area, mistook Aryan’s group for their targets.

The chase, which spanned nearly 30 kilometers along the Delhi-Agra National Highway, ended in gunfire near Gadhpuri toll.

Despite having no connection to cattle smuggling, Aryan was shot twice, once near the neck and fatally in the chest, leading to his death on the spot.

The incident led to immediate police action, resulting in the arrest of five individuals identified as members of a cow vigilante group. The accused, including Anil Kaushik, Varun, Krishna, Adesh, and Saurabh, have been charged with murder. The weapon used in the crime and the vehicle involved were seized, and the suspects have been remanded to judicial custody.
