Five-time World Champion Brazil was left stunned by Croatia in the quarterfinals of the 2022 World Cup. Croatia beat Brazil 4-2 on penalties.
Croatia, which beat Japan in the round of 16 via a penalty shoot-out, repeated the feat against Brazil.

Croatian goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic stopped Rodrygo’s penalty kick on Brazil’s first turn, putting pressure on the opponents.

Croatia’s Nikola Vlasic, Lovro Majer, Luka Modric, and Mislav Orsic converted penalties into goals, but a miss by Brazil’s Marquinhos turned out decisive.

Dominik Livakovic, who turned the tide for Croatia, bagged the man of the match award.
Croatia will play either Argentina or Netherlands in the Semifinals.
