Donations pour in for flood-hit Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

In an outpouring of solidarity and support, Tollywood personalities and celebrities from other walks of life have made significant donations to aid the relief efforts in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana following devastating floods that wreaked havoc across Telugu states.

The torrential rains, which have led to widespread flooding, have not only caused extensive property damage but have also tragically claimed lives, pushing the region into a state of emergency.

Leading the charge in the humanitarian effort was Prabhas, known for his role in the “Baahubali” series, who donated a substantial Rs 2 crore, split evenly between the two states.

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and actor Pawan Kalyan has donated Rs 1 crore.

Allu Arjun pledged Rs 1 crore, with Rs 50 lakhs allocated to each state’s Chief Minister Relief Fund. 

Mahesh Babu, Chiranjeevi, and Jr NTR have contributed Rs 1 crore each.

The film industry’s response extended beyond actors. Director Trivikram Srinivas and producers like S. Radha Krishna and S. Naga Vamsi have also contributed Rs 50 lakhs.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu’s wife, Bhuvaneshwari, donated 2 crores. 

Former Vice President Venkiah Naidu donated 10 lakhs, and former Chief Justice of India NV Ramana donated 20 lakhs to relief measures.
