With Krishna district reporting a sharp rise in coronavirus infections for the consecutive day, from 25 cases yesterday morning to 53 this morning, April 26, more than doubling its tally, total cases in Andhra Pradesh have gone up to 1,097.
West Godavari reported 12 new cases, followed by Kurnool at 4, Guntur, Kadapa, and Prakasam districts three each, Ananthapur and East Godavari districts two each.
Of the 6,768 samples tested, 81 people tested positive for COVID-19.
With 231 people discharged and 31 deceased, 835 cases of coronavirus are currently active.
