Australian Cricketing Legend Shane Warne passed away on March 4, leaving scores of his fans in shock. The 52-year-old is suspected of having suffered a heart attack while he was at his Villa in Koh Samui, Thailand.
A few days ago, on February 28, Shane Warne tweeted his fitness goal.
Australia has lost two cricket greats in 24 hours, first Rodney Marsh and now Shane Warne.
Cricket Legend – Master of Leg Spin
Born on September 13, 1969, in Melbourne, Victoria, Shane Keith Warne made his First-Class cricket debut in 1991 and International Test Debut the following year, when he played India and took Ravi Shastri’s wicket.
Eventually, he became the greatest leg spinner of all time, bowling near-dramatic spinning balls to confused batsmen. Shane Warne took 708 wickets in Test matches and 293 wickets in One-Day Internationals.
One of the very few batsmen who faced him comfortably was Indian Cricketer VVS Laxman.
Another batsman who withstood the bowling magic of Shane Warne with a decent track record is Sachin Tendulkar, another Cricket Legend. He and other cricketers have taken to social media to express their shock and sorrow.
Cricket fans ranging from politicians to film stars have also reacted.
Since the news broke, there have been thousands of reactions pouring in on social media in India, as Shane Warne, despite troubling most of the country’s batsmen in the game, had tremendously entertained the cricket-loving nation over the years, becoming one of the most noted sporting icons.
