Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Kalvakuntla Kavitha, currently under judicial custody in connection with the Delhi excise policy case, has been moved to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) for a detailed medical check-up.

Ms. Kavitha had reportedly experienced recurring health issues, including gynecological problems and a high fever.

Kavitha, a prominent figure in Telangana politics, was initially taken to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, but due to the severity of her condition and concerns over the functionality of health monitoring tools at Tihar, a court order directed her transfer to AIIMS for more comprehensive care.

Ms. Kavitha’s judicial custody is related to alleged irregularities in the now-defunct Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22.

According to reports, Kavitha’s brother KTR and cousin Harish Rao could travel to Delhi to visit her.
