In the shoot-out, the Netherlands scored only three goals as opposed to Argentina’s four goals.
Argentina will play Croatia in the semifinals on December 13.

The second goal for the Dutch came from a free kick that Koopmeiners surprisingly passed on to Wout Weghorst instead of attempting a shot himself.
Nahuel Molina and Lionel Messi scored for Argentina. Lionel Messi passed on the ball to Molina for the first goal and scored the second via a penalty kick.
